Fred Bernier
Training in the Japanese Martial Arts since 1978. Holds Black Belt Ranks in Japanese Jujutsu, Aikijujutsu, Aikido and Iaijutsu. Has a real passion for the martial arts and continues to train and teach Jujutsu and Iaijutsu on a regular basis.
He is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, a New Jersey Licensed Acupuncturist and Medical Herbalist. As a graduate of the prestigious Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, he was trained to integrate the Western Biomedical perspective with that of Traditional Medicine. His Medical Clinic is co-located with his Traditional Japanese Martial Arts Dojo.
Fred is also a veteran of the US Army who served with the 1st Infantry Division as a Recon Scout between 1972 and 1974.
He is married for 48 years to Cathy. They have 2 grown sons and 3 grandchildren. He & Cathy currently reside in Secaucus, NJ.
Jerry Tardi
Training in the Japanese Martial Arts for over 25 years. Is a Shihan, Menkyo Kaiden (Master Teacher with License of Full Transmission) in Hakko Ryu Jujutsu and holds Black Belt Ranks in Iaijutsu and Kendo. He also holds an advanced Black Belt rank in Isshin Ryu Karate and is a certified Shiatsu practitioner.
Jerry has a real passion for the martial arts and continues to train on a regular basis with his teacher and mentor, Joe Miller. Miller Sensei spent 20+ years living in Japan and received his Menkyo Kaiden, San Dai Kichu directly from the founder of Hakko Ryu Jujutsu, Ryuho Okuyama in 1988.
Jerry currently resides in Freehold, NJ.
