YOSHITSUNE JUJUTSU KAI
A Japanese Martial Arts School of Jujutsu, Aikijujutsu & Iaido
Welcome to the Yoshitsune Jujutsu Kai, a Japanese Martial Arts School of Jujutsu, Aikijujutsu and Iaido. Training in the Japanese Martial Arts is not a sport and it has no tournaments or competitions.
Japanese Jujutsu and Aikijujutsu are highly effective martial arts used for self defense and character development. Training includes physical conditioning, evasive movements, striking, throwing and immobilizations using joint locks and other methods of restraint.
You will practice with a training partner and you will help each other learn and improve, cultivating a supportive environment.
We also teach Japanese Iaido, a method of wielding the sword, one of the Japanese Martial Arts which has been practiced from ancient times until present day. The “i” in Iaido refers both to the existence of the body and that of the spirit. The “ai” refers to adaptability, the impromptu execution of movements whenever and wherever an appropriate response is necessary. The "do" refers to the path or way taken by its practitioners.
The practice of Iaido requires a calm spirit, extreme concentration and skill. Every motion, such as the movements of the arms or legs and body, must be perfectly coordinated.
Consistent practice in the Japanese Martial Arts improves your physical conditioning, balance, flexibility and your mental state. Your self-confidence, concentration, and alertness will improve and you will build up positive energy that will make you more successful.
If you think that you may be interested in Jujutsu or Iaido, please call me to schedule a free trial lesson or a school visit. I would love to meet you and have the opportunity to introduce myself, these arts and the school. No prior experience needed.
